Premium organic Spent Mushroom Substrate (SMS), the nutrient-rich compost left over after our organic mushroom harvest. Widely used for vegetable gardens, landscaping and weed control. Sold in 0.5 cubic foot bags.

Composition: pasteurized green waste, peat moss, chicken manure, agricultural lime, gypsum and residual mushroom mycelium. Our growth media is built from organic materials unique to Hawai'i's island environment.

• High organic matter and slow-release NPK, with active beneficial fungal biomass.
• Soil conditioner: improves moisture retention, aeration and soil structure.
• Compost inoculant: the live mycelium kickstarts decomposition in compost piles.
• Weed-free: pasteurized before it leaves the production house to eliminate pests, pathogens and weed seeds.
• Uses: vegetable gardens, flower beds, vermiculture feedstock, turfgrass and landscaping.

From a USDA Certified Organic farm and a Hawai'i Department of Health permitted composting facility.
